Our Club was formed in 1972, and now represents the Isle of Wight’s major model railway society, attracting members from right across the Island. Since those early days, the Club has moved premises a number of times, but has used each move to re-energise and renew its activities, so that it continues to reflect all that is current and best in our model railway hobby.
Our new location has allowed us to develop and maintain three large 00 gauge layouts, two of which are DCC and one DC. We have an active N Gauge layout, with a second one in development by our youth section. An 009 layout, and several other layouts our kept in our storage facilities. For further details, please refer to the layouts section.
We currently have 25 friendly and active enthusiasts, from all ages, and with a wide mix of modelling abilities. We meet every Friday evening to work on existing and new layouts, run rolling stock from all regions and eras, read up on the latest model railway developments in our extensive magazine and book library, and generally share ideas, skills and experiences.
We welcome new members. If you are interested and would like to learn more, please refer to the

Here you will be able to arrange a no obligation visit to the Club to see for yourself what we do, and hopefully apply to join us.
